Historic Walsa path

Filzbach

A walk with a view and enjoyment!
From the Roman mule-track - Bad Ragaz to Weesen - you can enjoy a wonderful part of the path between Mühlehorn and Filzbach.

Well signposted, with marvellous vantage points overlooking Lake Walen and the mountains. Passing many a drystone dyke, the Chappeli House with the little 'water house' as an historic halting place for travellers, the ancient Bridge of Legends (Sagenbrücke) between Obstalden and Mühlehorn. The Walsa path is suitable for prams, with the exception of the steep section Walenguflen - Sagenbrücke.

Between Filzbach and Obstalden the 'old lane' is also usable in winter as a hiking path. Absolutely essential for children is a short detour to the children's playground Reuteggwald with its open-air grill.
