In summer it is a popular walking area and has something for everyone: the nature trail, moderate walks in the direction of the Chapfensee, Geissewiese or Portels, but also challenging mountain paths in the direction Guscha, to the Spitzmeilenhut SAC or direction Weisstannen. The area on the Flumser Kleinberg is also an ideal area for mountainbiking and the Schönhalden mountain station is a popular launch area for paragliding.
Alternatively, simply enjoy the wonderful views of Heidiland from the romantic, 100 year-old mountain hotel Schönhalde with its Panorama-Restaurant and 24 cosy guest rooms.
