Weesen lies sleepily on the banks of the Walensee. In the background, tower the sunny mountains of the Speermassif. Weesen is a place steeped in history and over a long period of time was considered the main trade centre on the Walensee. Also many illustrious visitors came to the health resort of Weesen at the beginning of the 20th century, among them, for example, the writer, Hermann Hesse.
Summer
In summer, Weesen invites you to relax and recharge your batteries. The Walensee and the mountains are cool and invigorating. On over 110km of marked hiking paths, everyone can find something to suit them. From gentle walks along the lake to alpine hikes up on the mountain peaks, it is all here. In addition, there is the draw of the water, be it on the lake or at one of the highest Swiss waterfalls.
